Van Dijkman Vertalingen is a one-woman translation agency with experience in translating various texts in different language combinations.
Background
Van Dijkman Vertalingen was founded by Ingrid van Dijkman-Verhagen. After working for the Amsterdam-based translation agency The Language Lab for eight years, Ingrid started working for herself in Curaçao in 2010. Since 2016, Van Dijkman Vertalingen has been based in the Netherlands.
A financial education, an intensive legal course and extensive experience both as an in-house and freelance translator provide Ingrid with the right tools to offer accurate and authentic translations.
Translations
Van Dijkman Vertalingen specialises in legal and financial translations, but we also translate texts of a more general nature. We offer the following translation services:
English-Dutch
Translation of legal, financial and general texts from English to Dutch.
Dutch-English
Translation of legal texts from Dutch to English.
German/French-Dutch
Translation of general texts from French and German to Dutch.
Legal translations do not only require translation skills, but also knowledge of legal systems and specific legal terminology. Legal language is characterised by a formal style and specific jargon. Legal texts regularly translated by Van Dijkman Vertalingen include:

Rates
The standard translation rate is € 0.15 per word (source text), with a minimum charge of € 40 per translation. Special rates apply to large projects of 10,000 words or more.
